Will any of you be interested in trying rock climbing?

If so... I am an active participant in an event called Climb4Life (that runs from 3/13 to 3/21) which is a fund raiser for Ovarian Cancer Research at Johns Hopkins University and this the deal, for a modest registration fee (fully tax deductible) of $30 you get:

1- 4 entry passes to Sportock (Sterling/Alexandria) climbing gym. Regular charge for each pass is $18
2- Free Basic Skills class. How to handle the rope, belay and knot tying. The regular price for this class is $25
3- A goodie bag with REI coupons, some climbing trinkets, etc, etc. Who doesn't want a goodie bag!?
4- Free yoga at a local yoga studio (Dancing Mind in Falls Church)
5- Fun outdoor theme slide show, food and beer during the closing day events on 3/20
6- And... you get to make a donation towards Ovarian Cancer Research

How about that, eh?

Please email me if you have any questions or if you just want to make a donation to fight cancer. To register, click on 'Join Our Team' in this link:

Last year my team raised a little bit over $12,000. The grand total for this event was over $60,000 which I understand was enough to cover two research experiments at Hopkins.

More than 16,000 women will die from Ovarian Cancer this year alone and more than 25,500 will be diagnosed.

Thanks!
