7 Springs TR 3/08/10
March 9, 2010
7S was awesome yesterday. Blue skies and great snow. 7S has terrain open for everyone. They had 5 terrain parks, 2 half pipes, and at least 8 bump runs open for your enjoyment. The trees was still had some untracked snow, but a majority of the woods had soft packed powder bumps in them. Even with the warm weather, I was amazed that a majority of the snow remained packed powder and never really turned to granular. For a Monday, I was surprised how many people were there (don't these people have jobs), there were no liftlines, but there were lots of people at the Foggy Goggle. 7S is in great condition, I highly recommend going there while the gettings still good.
Have to agree....last weekend was an epic blue sky-er! Great coverage and moguls.... bumps galore!!!! :-) Mix of mogul fields and lines. The lines on Tyrol and Gunnar rocked!
It would be nice if they would have opened by the jumps in the Gunnar line for the public but we can't really complain! Besides it was neat to see the freestyle kids ripp'n and sky'n it!
Lift lines were mininal and the goggle deck was more crowded than the slopes ...surrounded by walls of snow.
The groomers did a good job and the park crew keeps doing an outstanding job.
Heard that the snow making gear is put away for the year! WHich might be a downer. Hopefully the rain called for later this week not impact conditions and that mgt snow farms appropriately! Here is praying that they don't screw up all the good by shutting down early.
