Slow end of one season (best part and best skiing IMHO) and start of the next. Hope springs eternal.

Besides Ovie and the boys, another reason for excitement in DC sports.

Jesus Strasburg. The Real Deal? (Tom Boswell is one of the best baseball writers in the country. We're lucky to have him as our local columnist.)

Throw in March Madness and St. Patty's Day, and March rocks!

Spring training "officially" began this past weekend. We made it out on Sunday for the 1st road ride of the year. Probably will be a bit before that happens again. Oh well, see ya at the YMCA tomorrow at 6AM for spinning? I'll be the bald guy falling asleep on his bike.

Back East in the flatlands, we are well into doing what flatlanders do when it's time to plant potatoes. I coach track and field so we are running, jumping, hurdling, throwing (the atheltes are, I'm just doing all the associated "coaching" duties). There is still another good month of skiing left in the mountains and some snow that still waiting to be used so my weekends are committed to following the likes of JohnL and Jimmy down the drop, OTW and probably ending up somewhere else on Easter weekend unless Doc changes his mind about closing. I'm really working on getting into shape for luau weekend and the associated festivities of one of the best parties in the mid atlantic. Once I put my checklist of things I plan to do that weekend I'll share.
