Nice. That is some good skiing. Are you in it?
Not all of it was shot at Timberline. I recognize the Open Slope at Whitegrass with its narrow top entrance. I also see a heck of a lot of powder there, more than I've ever seen in the flesh. It looks awesome. Thanks.
No, I'm unfortunately not in it. Just have a few FB friends that posted it and it caught my eye.
**Oh yeah, I meant to say it was all in Canaan Valley and typed Timberline for some reason. Thanks for the catch.
BTW, just curious, are you a Facebook member or did it let you view it anyway?
I'm not a member but have my wife's username and password. I probably should become a member because my daughter is really into it and puts lots of cute grandkid stuff there. I am kind of a privacy nut. I really don't like the trend toward Big Brother sees all that the interweb seems to be heading toward. Sooner or later everybody will have a chip embedded in their body at the age of a few months and it will be a felony to remove or tamper with your chip. Then all of us will be tracked all the time. The technology exists today, it's just a matter of time. I hope I'm dead by then.
Speaking of Facebook...Wintergreen just posted a status update that they are thinking of staying open until the 27th. Current closing date is the 21st.
Awesome video.
Would be great if WTG stayed open until the 27th; I'd like to squeeze in another day or two there if possible. I'm headed to SS tomorrow....
Skier219,
I am jealous...more importantly, are you coming by "SnowyLuau" at Timberline this weekend? Hope so. Weather week after SnowyLuau looks colder than normal, and perhaps snowy...and I think Timberline is open until March 28..right Kim????
Snowshoe certainly is!

Great video...over how many months did you shoot this? Really does WV skiing proud. I am sure many out-of staters would not believe these scenes are from WV, and the powder...!
What a winter.
Where is that long road you seem to be skiing down at one point?
Otherwise, scenes from Timberline and White Grass, right?
The Colonel
Colonel, that isn't my vid. It's a boy who's father has been apart of the ski schools in the Valley for a long time. Some like to think of him as the Valley's ski historian.
..as for the road, it may be the road that comes down the mtn from the houses that sit way up on skier's right of Timberline.
Very nice! Some bonehead gaper was explaining to me how there were probably not too many good skiers around here. Maybe I will show this to him. Wish I was that young again!
BTW, it made me sign in to Facebook to view it.
Nice video.
Any idea what gear they're on? Some of the deep powder shots near the end look like skinny cross country skis, but I can't really tell.
Yeah I saw the Rossi Evos in there. Doesn't surprise me that they are tele skiing on them better than most tele skiers on downhill gear.
Wow... those guys are nuts!
Great video and awesome skiing!

Morgan, I was thinking about going to the Luau on Sunday and skiing Monday as well, but that looks like the rainy part of the weekend. I may just hold off and ski Tues or Weds instead.
Those guys are "locals" who, if you dare to follow , can and do set one hell of a line anywhere in the valley. I've attempted to keep up with them....FORGET IT! My son skis with them when he's in the valley, and believe me, any of those guys can poach with the best, anywhere, anytime. If you're in lift line at t-line, look for a tall, thin, long-haired bearded guy who has a helment cam. Follow him and just watch. He's one of the few I've ever seen huck the pump house and land it beside/in the trees at t-line.
Is this the same video that is posted on Face Book?
WV Skiing
Yes, that's the same video! Now all you non-facebooker's can enjoy!
