For April 2010: Snowshoe, Wisp and ... ?
March 31, 2010
So, now that the weekend has passed, what areas in the Mid-Atlantic expect to have some runs open April 1 and afterwards?
All I have so far are Snowshoe (through Easter weekend), Wisp (Easter weekend) and Camelback (Terrain park only on Easter weekend). Anything else?

you just gotta go south. app will be open until april 11 they say. cat maybe this weekend or the next, same at sugar.
the forecast for blowing rock is 73F on saturday - i am curious if anyone on the board has ever skied in such weather ?
Highest I have skied is about 65F. I didn't think the snow was much different than, say, 50 or 55F, which are more common to me. I think once you get too far out of the 40s, the snow pretty much does the same thing (wet granular and slush). The real difference was clothing.
Cataloochee just announced they will open on april 10 and 11. that is skiing in 6 different months of the year south of Asheville. incredible.
We're headed to Snowshoe tonight for the stay 2 nights ski free deal. We're staying in a studio at Highland house maybe? It's $357, and includes 2 days of lift tix for me, the wife and our 7 year old daughter. We figured it'd be a good way to finish the season for her, warm weather and hopefully low crowds.
