Best Day Last Season?

Subject says it all... What was your best day last season?
For me, it was one of two: the day after the first "big dump" in DC, I skied at Liberty. They opened Lower Strata with no base (all natural, all fresh), and it was a blast for the first few hours. I lost a ski there (I fell, pretty hard), and it dove and ran... I never thought I could spend so long searching for a lost ski at Liberty, but 2+ feet of freshies will do that to you.
The other choice was our last day at Whitefish, in Montana. By the last day, we knew the hill pretty well, and even though conditions were, ummm, not good (abnormally spring-y, in early March), we had a great day of skiing all over the mountain. It was definitely a day that was greater than the sum of its parts, where the day was defined by our ability to adapt to the changing conditions, and the memories were made on our ability to to find good snow, no matter what.
Anyone else?
Easy:
Friday night of the 2nd big storm, doing powder laps on the 200' vert ramp from Carlin springs Rd. to George Mason, then when the powder got tracked out I switched direction and used the perfect wind-slammed corn on Carlin Springs Rd that the plows were making - new tracks each lap.
So aaron one of two won't do it, which one?
If a day is 24 hours mine was
this weekend in February the 5th and 6th. Friday it snowed all day there's some pictures in the linky did i mention it snowed allday and most of the nite b4 over a foot of snow stopped skiing around three but wasn't really ready to quit... knee deep powder til after dark friday nice in OD CB with nicky liz ryan we were flying flying close i found a couch Friday. Saturday morning, no grooming above the midStation way to go thumbs up TimBERline, started with a run on the drop with G and T point shoot turn left to slow down then first tracks on otw, cutting what abe described as " The wind picked up in the night so I guess it really blew the snow around and resulted in a windblown packed powder that almost had a breakable crust to it." It was breakable with a nice soft base
round turns and i guess the 24 hours ended with G's "BUT bobby it's a powder day" that's another story tho..
tough question. I had several days with good people at good places, but the best pure ski day was at Crytstal Mtn. I was by myself, but I was never alone and I just love the terrain. It was my last ski day this season, and the last run was 2600' vert of pure joy and completion.
Wow Jimmy !..I was reading your Linky's & started getting goosebumps..That was Bad-[censored]!..There were quite a few GREAT days in the Mid Atlantic,Ski Capitol of America!
pagamony, do you have more photos from Crystal Mtn you can link us to? I hear it's one of the best places to ski in the PNW.
Ya fish i had a couple of great days in Utah this year but that day was my best. Usually one of these best day threads is dominated by colorado, utah or new england i bet if this tread goes on for a while most of the days were right here at home in dcskiland, hard to beat what we had going on this year.
hiked into Laurel.
Lowerwildcat untouched with 18" fresh!!! walk up wasnt plesant but well worthit

Link in first post works great. Nice blue sky. Looks pretty BRACING up there on summit of chair 9 for late March!
Here's a shot of my daughter up there in early April 2007:

I had to limit myself to three outings - Sunday 2/07/10 at Seven Springs after the 28 inch dump, a snowy Wednesday in January at Jay Peak and some unusually sunny days at Jackson Hole.
Best of 2010
2 strangers spend an interesting day together that deeply affects them both, 22 August 2007. Author: wth-7 from United States. I saw this movie last night.

That's fair, Jimmy. I just meant to get conversation going. Jana assures me that TUESDAY of our week was actually the best day, so I'll go with that.
That said, there's a certain "special-ness" to being away that makes things feel better. We didn't make it to New England this season, even though we'd planned to, so we only skied locally on the East Coast. Liberty was, as usual, better conditions than Whitetail, but there's no doubt the Whitetail has better vertical and better terrain. If they'd just solve their ice problem... (haha... like they're going to change the exposure of the mountain?)
