Snow in F-Cast

http://www.wunderground.com/global/stations/20087.htmlF-cast for an Island just inside the arctic Circle...The arctic temps as a whole have been below ave for a month now & the Sea ice extent has finally started to respond after a freefall during late april thru june. The Ice that has melted is largely fringe ice & now the core thicker ice will be harder to melt. Scientist on both sides of the GW debate have been watching this years melt intensely & untill now the GW Fans have been as loud as the Blowhards at the World cup (Blowing those friggin horns)...Stay Tuned!
Bad analogy ... the "debate" is not like a game in sport. There is scientific debate but most of the debate you refer to is ideological in nature. What exactly are you expecting to see in this crystal ball gazing at the sea ice? If it melts to a new record low will that change your mind? If it bumps up a bit does that just re-enforce what you want to believe? Does a big snow storm in the winter mean it's not happening? Or does record heat in the summer mean it is? No one thing indicates it. You can't point to any one thing here, you've got to look at the big picture, and look at it over time for many years. That's been done and it continues to be done.
Oh believe me...Its a game & its a A Big one! Anyway, After reading up on this over the years & trying to figure out the endless Data of Earths influences one way or the other I just began to concentrate on "The Big picture"..which IS the Ice extent because that is the end result of all the forces at work.
The ice has rebounded back for three years in a row now & I'm hoping for this year to beat out last year which would be the next step in a reversal of all those Scientist claims that we would be ice free by the year 2017..then 2037 ect.."..If the Ice hits a new record low (which it wont!)..I will know that the earth has or is warming..as it has in the past with or without Mans influence & I will be upset BECAUSE I LOVE SKIING!!!!!!....The End...
PS.. The Antartictic ice is WAY above Ave..what gives?
