Just bought a new Ford Fusion 2010 and did not find and great roof racks. Has anyone used the Inno MV276 Magnetic Ski-Snowboard Carrier?? Just slap it on and the magnets do the work.

Any scratches? Is it strong enough? How long does a magnet based rack last? Inquiring minds want to know.

I don't think I would use it. It has all the problems of regular racks, specifically having your gear exposed to road salt, and also has the disadvantage of someone being able to pull it off and walk away while away from the vehicle.

Personally, I keep my gear inside the car when I can and when I can't, I use a roof box.

Edit: Can you go back and get factory crossbars mounted on the roof?
