Ok so I gave in, its been a bigillion degrees lately with dewpoints through the roof and I have been stuck in an office (still getting used to the not backpacking midweek and sleeping into 2 pm lifestyle). The result: I just bought a pair of brand spanking new Volkl Mantras with Marker Griffon bindings!!! Mounted and all for $599, not too shabby.

Literally, I have been toying with the idea of buying new skis (Mantras) for a while and finally just pulled the trigger. I actually love buying skis in the summer rather than winter, as long as you come out of winter knowing what you want then you are in a perfect position to get great deals and it provides an easy release of pent up office syndrome (new disease that I swear that I have, cure = Beer and Skiing).

Anyone have them??? Reviews on powder/groomers/bumps/ice/the east coast mix of everything? From what I have read, they are perfect for a true all mountain ski that can hold its own in powder. It will add to my arsenal of Atomic SL 12's (kills a groomer like no other), Atomic GS 9's(anyone want to buy them?), Rossignol 300TDI's (anyone want to buy them?), and Atomic SL 11's (my super rock skis... going for a core shot record, I have proved that they perform very well on grass).
