Well I was looking for something to do that would keep me in shape for ski season...so I got a decent (but cheap) bike and hit the trails. Still learning but I have a couple of endos and high speed tree hugs to my credit. This is at Poor Farm Park outside of Richmond...mostly in the flatter areas.

Hey GRK. I think I've seen you - and maybe even chatted with you - on one of the mtb'ing forums. How are the bike skills coming along? Have you made it out to any other trails besides PF?

I'm just starting to find my way back to DCSki for the winter season. I guess I am not as die hard as the folks that stay on here year round. I'll be hitting the trails through the winter on the bike though as long as I can stand it. And hittin' the slopes when time and money allow. See ya around and happy trails...

Hi Fleet...yes we chatted on SingleTracks, thanks for your encouragement. Bike Skills are improving, Poor Farm is good for learning to hop logs, roots, some rocks etc. and it has enough to be interesting.

Lately I have been going to Pocahontas and I rode the Buttermilk/Northbank loop for the first time last weekend...probably again this weekend. The first thing I hit was that rock armoring under the Nickel Bridge and had to walk it...I'll get it next week though.

Thanks for asking. Maybe we can hook up at WTG for a beer sometime.
