Apparently they started yesterday. We're only about 2-3 weeks from the start of the season in Colorado.

If they open around October 8, I'll ski on the 15th as I have to be in Summit County anyway. If they open on the 15th, I'll stay away because it will be a zoo.

Nice headlines/hype but its 57 degrees up there at the time of this post...I'm waiting for the real deal Which I don't see coming till after the 11th of Oct or later(Long range f-cast doesn't go that far)..Lets keep it real!

I just CKed out the 7 day F-cast for Loveland Pass at nearly 11200' & then I CKed out the 7 day for 3200' Canaan Valley & Canaan beats out loveland for lower highs but loses a little on the lows...not bad for a 8000' deficit.....The little..BIG..mountains of WV!

Actually, they were blowing snow at 11,800 feet at the top of chair 1. Once they get some white down on the ground they'll be able to control surface temps and keep building a base down to the bottom of chair 1.

That's what you have to do if you want to open by no later than the middle of October.
