My daughter's family moving to western Germany (near Luxembourg) in early Jan, and they would like for me to come join them sometime in Feb for 5 or so days of skiing in Switzerland. How are conditions that time of year for the Jungfrau area (Wengen, Grindelwald, etc.)? What areas are best for lessons for kids that only speak English?
Other ski areas a better choice?
Personal experience greatly appreciated!

No personal experience but I was given a Ski Europe book a few years back. Shame on me for not going yet. Anyhow some googling and looking around Amazon ought to turn up lots of info. Be sure to send us a trip report.

I visited the area on a summer trip about 25 yrs ago. Scenery is unbelievable! Wife and I rode the "First" chairlift and took scenic hike facing North Face of Eiger. Long known as a UK tourist destination, should be lots of english language ski instructors. Jungfrau region is good for skiers and nonskiers, Wengen and Grindelwald are pedestrian friendly with lots of shops/restaurants, etc. Feb should be a prime time for good snow. Would you be going during a major European school holiday week? Check out the snowheads website for lots of first hand knowledge on subject.
