I was channel surfing Thursday evening and noticed a ski program on Cox Channel 807 here in NVA (channel MBCUS).
I checked the Cox Channel Guide and noticed a number of ski, mountaineering and ice kating programs to be aired over the next week, along with the usual TV product selling shows. The programs I have seen so far are quite good, especially "Skiers' World".

Colonel, the channel you have found is NBC Universal Sports.

It is available in our area over the air as channel 4-3 from the NBC affiliate WRC.

They will show the entire racing season, usually on a week delay.

Still not available, on air or cable, here in Pittsburgh.

Yeah. I'm betting Cox in the DC area wouldn't carry it either if it wasn't for the NBC-owned station and the must-carry rule. Universal Sports is having a pretty tough time selling itself as a channel, eh? I have yet to hear that they are available anywhere where there isn't an NBC owned station:

Pittsburgh's NBC affiliate doesn't air it but picked up the feed for a few Olympic wrap ups last year. I'll have to contact WPXI and ask about it.

Universal Sports has all the WC races and some other programs to boot. Unfortunately we switched to Dish and no US channel now.

Does anyone have Verizon FIOS. I checked the channel lineup in my area and Universal Sports was not listed. I checked with FIOS and they confirmed that it is not offered in my area. Since the Outdoor Life channel switched to "Versus" skiing and winter sports was replace with "ultimate cage fighting". Who watches barbaric crap like that??? We really have little winter sports on television. We have a Tennis channel and a Golf channel why not a skiing or "outdoor adventure sports" channel.
