We all know that Laurel mountain is curently closed for downhill skiing, but nobody said anything about cross country! If you have cross country skis or snowshoes i suggest you go up there. I cross countried their last year and loved it. So I suggest that you go up on their this winter before they reopen next year. But Iam not garunteeing that it will open next year. Its owned by Bob Nutting what do you expect?

HV HO, do you have a list of places to rent gear near there?

sorry I do not. I know that Hidden valley use to have cross country rentals but they dont any more. Im not certain but the 2 rental places on rt 31 near donegal might have cross coountry skis but I dont Know since I have my own gear.

NOW I NEED HELP

Years ago (early 90s) we stayed at Kooser and skied there, as well as across the road from HV. There was a X-C ski concession there (HV) at that time. I think this was below the expansion area. But my question is that at some time during that weekend we skied X-C at some area that had 1 trail with lights for night touring. I cannot remember where it was but think is was Laurel Ridge. But this area gets confusing with all the parks and areas with Laurel in the names. Any help???
