From the NWS in Salt Lake City...also avail on Alta.com
Cottonwood Cayons Forecast:
Storm total snow by Wednesday morning 3-4 feet...maybe more. Very strong winds continue Saturday. Most intense snowfall rates Saturday eve, Sunday afternoon, and on Tuesday.
Hope some DCSkiers get to enjoy!
Reminds me of my first visit to Alta, about 40 years ago. It was the couple of days after Thanksgiving, and I had only skied about 4 times, mostly at Charnita (now Liberty).
I arrived at Alta and was greeted by a new 5 feet of powder. Needless to say, I was in "over my head". But from then on, I skied Alta many times and refer to it as "The Mecca" of ski lovers.

Hate to be a buzzz kill but I have seen enough of Alta Vids to know in my Heart that if west virginia could "properly" develop Mount point Crayon, Most of us would stay "Home" & ski an area that would give us enough snow & great terrain not to mention a view that I feel would be as good but of course Different from What what we see in utah....Keep hope alive for some good news now that corr H is getting closer!

yeh...I'm a Home biscuit & a little(a Lot) biased But I see the MPC/Roaring plains mountain range all the time & I have been to the Best in the NE & the Best out west, so I have had the "Experience"...In the words of the Great Gatkinso (MIA DC Poster)....MPC....BRING IT ON!

Disclaimer...5 beers & a shot of tequila...

Denis,

Bob Dangerous == Marc Guido?

Nice to see Alta without any bumps. As you would expect for opening day.

No. Another guy, first name Bob, last name no idea. He is called Bob Dangerous. He's the guy wearing the helmet cam and doing most of the yelling. I know Guido too, dating back to when he was patrolling at Jay Peak.

Ya. This is the time of year DC Ski posters start eating their own. We'll be fine once we get some snow.
