There are some good pictures from a member of the BomberOnline forum on their website. He was on the other half of the lift and his mom was in a chair that fell.

My two caveats on a chair lift...

1. Helmet on.
2. Restraining bar down.

More info. Now it sounds like they were doing maintenance on an operating lift at the time of the derailment. And the winds were not a factor.

Whitetail and other Snowtime Lifts were safe. Charles and I skiied WT on Tuesday, and I never felt in anydanger, even on the Double Lift. When the wind was strong, the lifts slowed down. They did a very responsible job. Happy New Year! Connie Lawn and Charles Sneiderman
