Where to stay around 7Springs area

Wife wants to use our Groupon deal on Sat Feb 26th, and told me to find us a place to stay that Friday and Sat night. IT appears the hotel on the mountain is booked up, so do any of you have recommendations on where to stay thats as close as possible to the slopes? I have never been there before so I dont know whats around. I will be coming from Northern VA if that matters.
There are some bed and breakfasts around and there is a place at the bottom of the mountain that is about 6 miles from the resort called the log cabin motel. Also about two miles further than that is a chain hotel in donegal. Cant remember for sure but i think its a days inn. The only thing closer to the resort that i know of are house rentals and chalets. If you have any questions about the resort or skiing let me know as i am a season passholder.
