I saw where Alpine Meadows had like 105"+ in 72 hours time. That's just nuts.

Tahoe is really strange. May not snow for a month, then they'll get tens of feet at a time. Depending upon the storm track, they're often the first mountain range off the Pacific.

Last time I talked to Chipper he stated that WV gets more weather in a week than Tahoe in a season. He had asked someone out there how much snow they got in a season? Ans; 500 inches, How many storms? Ans; 5. Between those storms they get weeks at a time of clear blue skies.

True Dat. WV get affected by the Great Lakes, The Gulf, The Atlantic, etc, etc. Sort of a weather schmorgsabord (sp?), with hopefully a bit of snow (and no rain) from each.
