Just stepped outside about 20m ago with a tape measure and we have 9in in our front yard, and it's still coming down hard.

Hoping to get out to the Springs or Blue Knob in the next day so, this is looking fun!

Pghndt, welcome to the DCSki.com boards! Thanks from the report from your neck of the woods.

Here in the northern Shenandoah Valley, we have just 3/4" of piled-up sleet. But Liberty reports 8" and Whitetail 6". Hope to get in some runs soon.

Woody,
The sleet/snow line ran just a little bit north of new 9, here in the valley. I got 2 inches of snow on top of 1/2" of sleet, while friends just to the north of me got all snow.

More importantly, according to folks coming to work from down your way, I81 was clear to the VA/WV border, then got worse.

Pghndt,
Enjoy the snow and save a bit for some of us coming up this weekend.

I should be out skiing but I'm feeling a little under the weather, so to speak. We got about 10 inches here north of the city near Butler but 7S reported 8. Never the less it was much needed as conditions there on Sunday were very icy. The weather models say we may be in for significant rain on Thursday before turning to snow on Friday. Let's hope for all snow.
