Snowshoe 2011 - 2012 Lift Tix
September 4, 2011
...they are mighty proud of that place..I might ski there if they paid me $79 a day,,,plus transportation costs....and a six pack of beer...bottles...
What, now $99 ??? for expensive lodging, lousey service, OOB resturants,(the link above says "page not found"). Too bad about Killington, used to get there faster then Snowshoe (fly to Manchester (SWA), drive in from there. Have very found memories of The Valley...and with Corrider-H, Davis will be even "closer"! Heard they were reno'ing C.V. Lodge. Is Sab's still there?
NewsFlash - today the new SS Day Lift prices appear. Ummm...did they figure something out, as day passes went from $79 last year to $59 this year!!! Mean something?
It's been ages since I've been to Snowshoe, a year or two before Intrawest bought them out. I remember it providing more of a resort experience than anything available in the local area, but the skiing wasn't much better than you could get at hills that are far more accessible.
I could see going up early season if they got hit with a lot of snow and the local areas don't have anything open. But that's just too much money for regular session. It would be one thing if they had killer terrain, but they don't.
Keith.
59 is early / late season only. They are still 79 in peak season on weekends.
Not sure what's up with their site. On 9/1 they showed all prices for the year. Then on 9/2 the link I posted went to their season pass page.
Today it directs one to the early / late season rates.
Smoke and mirror tricks?
OMG, they're still going for $79!!! Well...maybe they're finally pricing themselves OOB, that on top of lousey food (resturants dropping like flies - don't worry Lou, the Junction is alive & well!), lousey service, lousey/no security, etc.. Bill Rock would be proud of their Smoke and Mirror tricks! But hey, some people must like that kinda thing.
