Actually a fabrication question, then I'll worry about the tuning. First things first. grin

What's the preferred method for attaching shot glasses to the ski?

Crazy glue? Epoxy? Duct tape? Rain-X? Hammer and nails?

Also, do shaped skis or old school Glen Plakers perform better? Or even X-C skis? Junkboards? Snowboards? Do weather conditions or drinker conditions factor into the equation? Choice of alcohol?

...Get a shotglass that is tapered and drill a hole in the ski to "catch" the shot glass...subfloor adhesive or epoxy for the attachment....you might want to try the ski-blades (oh god I want to use the politically incorrect term for that ski so bad...but I won't)...that way you can hook a guitar strap to the tip and tail of the ski blade and throw it over your shoulder for easy carry along at Jack Frost...WV moonshine of course......if you are really serious then a snowboard with beer mugs attached for Car-bomboard...if you are looking for a source for outdated ski's and snowboards that have no life left in them for skiing and are only good for drilling holes through them for a shot ski/board then t-slime rental shop has the biggest inventory in the Mid-A...but you will have to wait until ski season to rent them...

How do I explain the shot glasses attached to the skis when I return them? Or just don't worry about it?

It's well-known fact that Aussies invented the hats with the turned-up brims.

Very few know that it is not because they were slinging rifles over their shoulders, but full-size 210cm+ shot skis.

I suppose you don't want the edges too sharp or the base too slick, and watch out for old skis with beartraps, think safety! For the long board model maybe think a beatup powder ski - lots of room for essentials.

...don't worry if you return that junk equipment you will be ahead of most...who just leave it in the bunk house or on the snow...if I could count the number of lessons I have taught to a student who's rental equipment broke during the lesson,,,well then..I could count pretty high..

How would -that- work, unless you alternate? ???

*is imagining a scenario where all the drinkers are on one side of the shot-board, but arranged by height*

It's a devise used for specialized apris training purposes such as gastrovascular endurance, creating virtigo and balance assessments, posture modification, and the never ending cervical alignment functions. It is intended to be used by several individuals in unison. The functional apparatus consists of several 2 oz. cylindrical glass tumblers which are tapered on one end and attached to one retired/surplus alpine sliding devise which has had all other fixtures removed. You would find these shotskis in and around apris ski libation establishments.

and can therefore be used as a measure of ability to modulate-to-the-average in each sampled individual.

Using Lacanian ordering, the shotski is an apres-ski device to eliminate the Imaginary and the Symbolic, particularly the Symbolic that is constituted purely based on the mutual differences between the shotskiing individuals' ego and language*. The shotski leaves only the Real, the part of the shot that finds its place within the individual, the part that cannot be both Real and defined by its absence. Both the Real and the shotski are purely positive**, neither can be Symbolized*** and neither is subject to Imaginary restructuring.****

*you all drink.
**the part you swallow counts. The part you spill is meaningless.
***no, holding a half-glass of white wine and lifting it as the shotskiers drink does NOT count.
****you weren't there, don't even try to pretend.

Use 1-1/2" rubber leg tips. Secure them to the top of the ski using a metal screw of appropriate size & length. Be careful not to drill through the ski. You can buy the tips at Ace hardware, Lowe's, etc.

These will hold a standard shotglass tightly in place so yu can tip and drink. But you will be able to remove the glass to wash it.
