...and Winter is right around the corner. Spent the day Saturday hiking in Dolly Sods. It was 49 degrees when we got there at ~1pm and 46 when we left around 8. We hiked out to the edge of the Valley and had lunch. We ended up eating fast and taking off again because it was CHILLY up there!! Timberline is looking good good as well. It was pretty cloudy all day, but there's already some color starting to come out. Give it about 2 more weeks and I'll bet things will be at peak color. Great day for a hike!!

Here's a few shots:

By good I meant that the lift was running and I couldn't see a big For Sale or Closed sign anywhere....

Wonder what t-line would be worth in today's market? Seriously doubt if he could get what was offered in the past. I was told that house re-sales are good up there but there are a lot of them on the market with most at reduced prices. It got real crazy four or five years ago.

Snow fell in the Swiss Alps overnight on Sunday to levels unseen for the month of September, Swiss weather agency Meteosuisse reported on Monday.

In the ski resort of St Moritz, in the southeast canton of Grison, a total of 45 centimetres (nearly 18 inches) of snow was recorded on Monday morning, it said.
