Does anyone ever remember hearing stories about a skill hill and lodge that was closed when the lodge burned down? I lived across the road from this hill growing up, and would cut through this property to walk to the store. As I would walk up, I noticed they had pulleys on small poles and heard some of the older locals say it was a club. I remember an old nasty swimming pool and some bricks left standing from an old fireplace on a cement pad.

I searched some of the historical air pics but couldnt make out much. From what I can tell, this had to be some time between the 50's - early 70's that this place existed.

Where abouts? I have heard that the "other" Seven Springs had skiing at one time, but thats about it. Not much seems to be written about club slopes though. so it is possible.

It was off of RT 48, across a housing plan built in the late 70's early 80's, down from the high school. The plan's street name was Grouse Drive. Gentle hill but appeared to have a lodge that burnt down from what we heard. I also remember walking the property and seeing really old photos laying around under blocks that we turned up that were barely legible. I do remember seeing the poles with the wheels on the top of the poles.
