Last night a group of us went up to whitetail for the college ski session. With the weather being all over the place, including 60 degrees on Tuesday we were expecting to see ice and poor conditions on trails but decided to go anyway.

Whitetail's snowmaking however made the trails for the most part a nice powder, and although they were blowing a ton of snow we all were dressed for the worst and were able to enjoy a full night session with conditions in many places actually IMPROVING as the night went on. With no lift lines we were able to get in 7-8 runs in hour off the whitetail express quad.

We all had a great time and just wanted to say kudos to whitetail's snowmaking for putting as much snow on the mountain as they have with the not so great winter we have had.

Whitetail is doing an EXCELLENT job with trail cover.

HEADS UP to everyone going up there: if the snow guns are on the snow under the guns is going to be -wet- and -sticky-.

Wax your skis by all means, but be absolutely -sure- that you have scraped off and brushed off all the loose surface wax or your skis will catch like crazy. There is nothing worse than being yanked backwards off your feet by a sudden peanut butter patch.

Zardoz was running well last night; so was Toko Dibloc LF with moly.
