Rode Roundtop last night and thought I would pass on my observations for those who may be planning and weekend trip. Overall the snow was decent. Soft of course but the coverage was good. Having said that, the snow is going FAST. There are a number of very large thin/bare areas forming. There are two almost completely across Minuteman and upper Recruit is very thin. Most likely, Barrets Trail and Gunbarrel will be closed by the weekend. All in all, if you have a pass, its probably worth the trip this weekend but if you are paying for a ticket, I would look further west.
