Up to a foot of freshies with minimal/no base... time to break out the rock skis... or just say screw it to the good skis, life is too short!
Every Fricken time! Went to Canaan last weekend and am heading for Elk this weekend. Forecast for 2" there if I'm lucky.
Let's hope some of this snow makes it's way over to the snowtime resorts. Maybe a good snowfall will help them shut down on march 11th like they do every year. lol
Jamie, you're starting to sound a little bitter. :-)
As for me, plans changed. Canaan it is.
After the Arctic onslaught this weekend Mon should be a bluebird day at Canaan with more snow for tue/wed...I'll be there!
curih,
There is the GTG over at Timberline, but a few of us are also going to go over to Canaan for a bit either Sat or Sunday. Look us up.
Thanks very much. That's all I needed to know. I'll be at Canaan for a single ride tomorrow AM. If you have suitable skis and/or skins join me.
LHC poaching a closed run at Timberline today. The vid isn't in the greatest spot. Some places were drifted in boot to knee deep. Skied very nice before it got skied up by other poachers.
Hey! I saw those guys on Saturday bombing out of almost anything... The red jacket made me think one was patrol. Nice cami...
Snowshoe's fall was awesome. Snowed for two days straight, except for the below zero temperature and the howling 45 MPH wind. We probably got about ten inches to a foot. Even then, the snow guns kept on going. This morning it is an awesome 10 degrees and sunny. More snow tomorrow...
I need to know their names and ticket numbers LOL
Today (Monday 2/13) Seven Springs is reporting they had over 16" from the weekend storm. What are conditions like there?
