Just wanted to put this out there: Whitetail not only has telemark gear available for rental from their sport shop (not from their general rental area), but they also have telemark teachers! This info is NOT on their website, but I was there last week and just happened to bemoan the lack of local tele lesson availability to one of the ski school folks, and they were all, "no, we totally have tele teachers!" I got a lesson that day, on their rental gear (which is excellent quality, real tele gear not old alpine boards). I'm new to tele this year, and have been driving out to Timberline and SevenSprings for tele classes/workshops, after gleaning from websites that none of the closer resorts had any tele stuff. Just putting this out there so more people can know! (Also, if anyone knows any other local secret tele lessons places, I'd love to hear about it). . .
PS: I'm not sure they actually have tele teachers available every day - I'd call first. . .
