I ski at Belleayre in the Catskills. Talking to people this year on the chair lift I noticed that a number of them have said they normally ski further south but due to the warm winter and they decided to go further north. Boy Scout troops this weekend that normally go to PA were at Belleayre this weekend for example. The sad part is the customer skier/rider visits are down significantly this year at Belleayre.

Just got back from a week in Maine, so personally I'm guilty of heading north. blush Saddleback was really snowy and outstanding. Sunday River was more like what good early March days should be in the mid-Atlantic, firm in AM, soft and fun in PM. Did one day, Mar 8, at Mt Abram when it was 60 degrees at the mtn at 930 AM. That was what I hope to see in WV this coming weekend - beach weather on snow for season finale. But who knows what to expect in this wacky winter??
