Wojo, what new gear did you replace the old stuff with?

I recently got new Lange boots and for the first time in my life got fitted properly. I'm embarrassed to say I went from 28.5 to 26.5 sick

Jim, your experience is the norm, not the exception. Most skiers are in boots that are way too big. With the notable exception of racers and ex-racers, who go to the opposite extreme.

I bought some Tecnica ICON TNT X at the Alpine ski shop when I was dropping of some stuff we out grew. They were the only 28.5s that weren't beat looking and had my kind of price tag on them. One of the volunteer helpers had worked with the boot fitter everyone raves about in Leesburg that closed. Good experience, boots look brand new, but are 5-7 years old. Anyone know how to tell when they were manufactured??

Thanks.

Other stuff was son giving up boarding and sticking with skiing. He bought some nice Atomics ~60% off at the Dilly in Chantilly.
