Hi all, my wife and I just started Bethesda Area Snowsports Club (BASC) -- as in "bask in the afternoon sunlight, moonlight, spotlights, and occasional fireworks light" while skiing or snowboarding at Liberty, Whitetail, and Roundtop mountains in Maryland and Pennsylvania! BASC is a "virtual" club created for obtaining an additionally discounted snowsports Night Club Card (NCC), beyond what's already built into the NCC. For those new to NCCs, they are simply a group discount skiing/snowboarding approach that many schools, churches, scout troops, neighborhoods, and others use routinely. Organizers get free NCCs, but we're rolling most of them back into the club so that we all get a larger discount. This is totally non-profit...correction...this is a total money loser for us given the time involved! But it's fun, we get to interact with lots of fine folks, and we get to share a nice discount with everyone. For more about BASC, see https://sites.google.com/site/bethesdaareasnowsportsclub/. AND THINK SNOW!

Hi again, just an update that we have 36 members now as of the early bird Liberty NCC deadline of 11/4, which gives everyone an additional discount of $9. If we get 7 more members (4 to make it to 40 and 3 to "sell" the free NCCs to that we get from hitting 40 members), we'll be able to make it an $18 discount. Not a huge amount I know, but better than the regular NCCs out there!
