I got two Costco anytime tickets for Xmas for snowshoe. I have a few days off and want to go someplace at least for a day. It does look like snowshoe has best conditions in under 6 hours from house. I was also thinking elk mountain, but ski report doesn't look as good. Thoughts?

Wait a few days and hit Snowshoe. They are making snow on Cupp and Shays right now. They should have it open by the weekend - at the latest.

Elk is looking amazing for tomorrow. I'm probably going to be at Greek sometime before mid-day.

Will probably wait til Friday if I do anything. Have tickets for skins game on Sunday I don't want to miss, so weekend is pretty much out. May go for short and easiest since none look great.

Ok, looks like snowshoe is closest with most snow and open terrain I am getting up early and driving over, skiing and coming back in evening. If I am tired maybe get motel on way home, but think I will be fine. Benn a while since I have done a al in one day trip, but 11 inches of fresh pow made me feel young again. smile
