What's the best resort for a family? 2 adults, 2 kids. Needs to have snowboarding for the kids; snowtubing and other non-ski activities for the adults. Interested in a place with cabins/condos or lodging with 2 separate bedrooms in or walking distance to resort. And the closer to Baltimore the better, we would just be staying over a Saturday night. Any advice would be helpful!

A group of us had several emails on the subject and we did some research in the matter, taking into account parameters similar to yours.

i think snowshoe has the best family orentaed design but it will cost u $$ money (it can be up to 55$ a lift ticket plus lodgening and $5 a hamburger (big hamburgers thow) dont plan on haven a skipy $$ vacation unless u plan ahead and get good deals (normally there good for somereason like there midweek or end of the season or they have some speical and alot of people will be there) u can also look into the student card or something snowshoe offers.... it gives u like $20 rental lift ticket and lession packges and other stuff (have to be a student)
