Sick of boarding through chop. I decided I wanted to ski more but my rig was a bit ...beat up.

I have a board with worn out boots, and rear entry bindings (flow) that I'm not sure of this combo. I'm probably going to have someone trustworthy checkout my boarding rig because it feels unstable at speed. So, I'm probably going to need to spend some money there. But, it's ridable.

My ski gear was not.

So I picked up a set of used skis.
These:

great price. I paid $220 and in good condition. Was quite pleased.

Then I priced boots. Wow. It's been awhile. When I bought two pair last year for some novice skiers, I was able to find two of the year before boots for $250 for both. Lange

I have a narrow foot and a bigger calf. 3 boots were available in that last, all in the upper priced range. I would have loved to afford a higher flex boot in my size range; however, I spent way way way too much on boots already. I can NOT believe the price of skis boots.

I could get TWO sets of REALLY nice snowboard boots for the same price damnit.

Ah but I do love these boots. Like a glove baby, like a glove....

OK. Not sure what the question was?

We've been splashing out for ski gear while you took your little boarding holiday, so you'll not get much commiseration here.

Woohoo-type enthusiasm is in good supply, tho. Woohooo!
