It got a little deep on the groomed runs, but I like it that way. The bumps were tightly spaced and conditions forced us to mostly ski the zipper line. They got easier (more fun) as the snow got softer. End of season party atmosphere, uncrowded, mostly locals, Lots of strong Telemarkers. smile

I forgot my camera, so no pics. I ran into Crush on the runout of White Lightning but my pass was expired so I couldn't make a run with him. frown

Got there early and the surface was still firm. It softened up by 10:30 but didn't get too soft and piled-up (to my way of thinking) until well after lunch although I found the front side easier going in the afternoon.

Kudos to SnowTime for keeping Liberty open ! cool

no kudos warranted. kudos would have been to keep all resorts open.

There are two sides to this, just as some see a glass half full or half empty. Kudos, in my opinion, would be if all 2013 customers would show up for skiing this extra week of lift served skiing here in the Mid-Atlantic!! If they stay open for us, then we must show support for them and ski/ride this week. I am planning at least another unanticipated day or two on the slopes this week, primarily as a show of support.
Go get them while and where you can, melting is just around the corner!

it was great to see you! funny thing, so i passed all those people coming down just before the dogleg/headwall, and took my usual tight-left line over it and headed back to the middle of the trail. I saw you with your black ski liberty jacket and when you skied up to me i thought you were staff about to bust me on excessive speed or something lol - then you introduced yourself ha ha . you scared me! yeah nice day bumps were fun for sure.

who in the right mind would pay full ticket prices to come out for granular conditions? any normal business would recognize this and lower the price accordingly.

Finsout - have you ever skied here in the Mid-Atlantic or do you reside in Utah?
