Skied Liberty today (Sun 3/24) and it was amazing to see all the trails open at a Snow Time resort this late in the season. Surprisingly, there was a good number of skiers there as well.

As for the conditions, I'd say it was late spring skiing with a huge side of mash potatoes. As the day went on, the backside trails especially kept getting sloppier and sloppier, and the surface of the trails really did look like the top of a serving of mashed potatoes.

Conditions were better on the two front side advanced trails, Blue Streak and White Lightning. White Lightning had thin cover in area and bare spots, but skied the best out of the two runs. I spent the majority of my time today on these two runs.

It was fun to get another day skiing and I was glad to see that Snow Time kept Liberty open this long, but I have a feeling this was the last day of the season for me, even though Liberty will be open for another week.

I told one of the employees that I was surprised that the other Snow Time resorts didn't stay open as well. He said Liberty had the highest base of the three and every year Snow Time picks one of their three resorts to stay open later into the season and closes the other two.

I can understand the decision. The three ski area are fairly close to each other so if you can make it to one, it isn't too far of a drive to one of the others. Also, while Liberty had a decent number of skiers Sunday, it wasn't a "weekend crowd". If the skiers who were there had been spread out over three ski areas, all three of those areas would have lost money.

unless you lower the ticket price to account for the spring conditions.....
