two little birdies told me....
By Wed of this week, we 'should' see something that offers a special for lodging and lift tickets for that weekend of the 13th and 14th. There is going to be an effort during that time to sell season passes too.

(on a side note: their late season price reduction is causing some concerns as early season sales have dropped , which is inverse to what they thought was going to occur.)

This is about a 50% chance...this announcement/package.

Beside this, they are planning on being open the 13th (sat) and 14th (sun) but will not be open the 8th-12th.
Right now, this is about a 75% chance; however, if they opt not to do the lodging promotion, they will hold off announcing anything and will hold firm with their April 7th stance until as late as this Sunday (April 7th. Right now, they haven't sad anything internally to most folks. Although, when asked some key workers are asked to keep that weekend open.

Ya baby

Edit: *not an april fools joke fyi*

They've had a great season but our area (Western PA) is going to see 60* by Sunday and mid 60's almost all of next week.

Bob has to start focusing on the Pirates now.

Well, it's more of a monopoly really. In an area where wintersports isnt in many peoples minds. I work with a pretty young active group of people, and Id say out of a hundred people or so, I'll bet only myself and a couple others are active in wintersports. Most common complaint *COST and Crowds*

Compared to HV though, their grooming is far superior. Their parks/features are FAAAAAAAAR superior. Their vertical for anyone other than a beginner is far superior. Their apres ski is far superior. Everything about 7S is better. I like it better than Holiday Valley too, which is the next closest 'resort' next to Snowshoe. I love Snowshoe so, to me It is the best within driving distance for me. However, they need to open more runs.

Agree to some extent. I need to do taxes, dig 25 holes or at least get started on them, purchase shrubs/trees and pick them up, level and prepare a portion of my yard for a kids mega playset, plot out a deck extension planned for this year, get the tractor running and cut my lawn, hang out with my family, finalize a presentation to migrate millions of dollars from many divisions in my company to one controlling entity, and finally ........ copy the 'best' pictures from the Holidays to give to my family members as promised.

So yea, pretty busy schedule. BUT, I only live an hour away and still need to go get my season pass for next year.

SO - I will be there. Looking goofy with a helmet and summer clothing attire. smile

If only just to say I was there. A few more days later and we could have said "we rode almost up to may that year!" HA

And at $51 a pop I'd say they have a little too much money on their hands as well.
