Whats colder..Biting or piercing?...Anyhoot...I have been thinking lately that a cold one is in store due to a number of things I have been reading but one standout has been the record cold Arctic summer this year..Where is this Death Spiral for the ice up there?
http://ocean.dmi.dk/arctic/meant80n.uk.php

I am starting to hear more cry's of global cooling than warming...Many talk of us being at the beginning of a 30 year downward trend in temps.
....Course..it could be a record cold winter for the northern Hemi but that doesn't necessarily mean the pattern works in our favor here in the mid Atlantic...

Im seeing an early start to some snow cover up north...about 10 days earlier than what I have seen in the past.
..Hope that Piercing bite of cold air doesn't ruin any chairlift rides this winter! eek

Nowhere does it say warmer or normal temps. Normal precip maybe but it sounds like two of the forcasters are now saying cold and snowy. What's that [censored] groundhog going to say about this year?

Teeth are int he mouth, so they tend to still be warm when you are bit, However, if metal rings are left to the elements, they can be rather cold when slipped through the skin.

Thx for the answers on biting/piercing crazy..

Just watched the Weather Channel for about one minute before "Climate change" came up...they said that in a few years Illinois will feel like Louisiana...That means WV and the mid atlantic will feel like northern Florida....Its over johnny..gonna miss the bite!

Ibotta is beating the change to the punch and fleeing north..he might get all that company he says he enjoys...housing Norsky refugees from the south!

I can only imagine what it'll be like in a few years when northern Florida see semi-regular skiffs of snow because the overall drop in temps and watching everyone else who did panic over warming... actually realize they were all wrong. smile
