You can now upload an avatar image that will be shown in your posts and on your profile page.  Would you all mind trying out this new feature?

To access this feature, visit your Profile portal page at:

http://199.38.85.88/me/

The "Small Avatar" is the one that will show up next to your posts.  I don't think I'm using the Large Avatar anywhere yet.

Hi Scott.  Looks like I successfully migrated to new DCSki.  Tried loading a small and large avatar and keep getting an error msg that says problem uploading your image, invalid file format, only jpg, gif, or png formats allowed.  Pretty sure I'm using jpg photos.  Will keep trying and from different platform.

Hi Jim - would you mind e-mailing me the photo(s) you tried uploading?  I'll see if I can duplicate the problem.

I am confused...not a real unusual occurrence....what is an avatar image?  Is this something like photobucket, smapfish, etc.

And how do I use this to upload an image to my bio or a post?

Colonel, examples of an avatar are the little photos that appear next to a users name every time the post on Epicski.  Same little photo appears everytime. It's just a way to personalize your posts.  The big avatar here in the new DCSki maybe for your profile page??  I can't get avatar photos to take here, but will try on home computer tonight before contacting Scott.

Had an issue at work, maybe firewall??  Picking avatar from home worked.  Now got to find a decent picture:-)
