For those who skipped the PG skiing preview, Boyce Park has installed 11 TA T40s this year. I stopped by there this afternoon, and The grounds crew was hooking up the pipes and were about to turn them on. Its good to see them get some new technology to extend thier season.

I skied there in the late 60s when in grad school in Pgh.  It was $0.50 for the night session IIRC.

Boyce Park, literally skiing to the people. Located in the heart of suburbia, subsidized by Allegheny County government, an excellent low cost way to  get introduced to the sport. Boyce was my first lift served skiing and also where I got my first taste of tree skiing (in the narrow strips of evergreens planted between the 2 falline runs). I'm sure that a majority of Western PA's baby boomers got their start there.

LHC, While not my first lift served skiing, I did a lot of skiing there as a poor hs student and taught many friends there. Beyond tree skiing, there was also a chute in the trees where a jump was regularly built. Long before anyone thought of snowparks.
