The snow season is here! Liberty Mountain, Whitetail, and Roundtop opened Friday for the season - the first
Thanksgiving opening for them in years. (Maybe it has something to do with TG and Chanukah coming at the same time?)
Not all trails and lifts are opened, but rates are also reduced. Check out their Websites. This is a great way to start the 50th anniversary of Snow Time. Yours, Connie Lawn and Charles Sneiderman.
Vince and I are going to ski at Liberty tomorrow, Sat 11/30. If I'm not mistaken, it will be the first time ever I've done lift served skied locally in November. Tip of the hat to old man winter coming early! I'll keep an eye out for you Connie in case you're up there.
Enjoy, looking forward to pics and comments!

My grom and I skied Whitetail yesterday and Liberty today, and the conditions at both were great, especially for November. Couldn't be happier about this early start for Snowtime. I'm always one of Whitetail's biggest critics (and a passholder) for their "data driven", and never "skier driven" decisions. Opening early for these few days is clearly a skier driven decision to me.
Way to go Camp and grom. Wish I had connected with you out there for a few runs.
Liberty Mountain - Dec. 1, 2013 from Connie Lawn
Sunday was fantastic! I have run out of words to describe the wonderful snow conditions! The slopes held the snow because there were not too many people there, even though it was a Sunday. 11 trails were open, with an 18 to 24 inch base. 4 lifts were also running. I was delighted the Dipsy Quad was re-graded, so it is easier to get off. I am also glad the operator slowed the chair down for me. I have a series of medical issues, which I will discuss further in a longer article. But this was a day to conquer my demons, and get over concerns which spring from Parkinsons and a broken hip.
Liberty hopes to open again next weekend and stay open for the rest of the season. This is its earliest opening since 2000. It is a great way to discuss Snow Times 50th anniversary.
