I just tried bumping an old thread (8 yrs old), and while the thread is now visible under recent topics my recent post is not included. Has this behavior been observed/reported before?

Likewise.  I spent some effort composing what I hoped would be a useful reply, and it has gone into a black hole.

edited to add that Jim K added a post following mine.  His does not show up either although the forum list did record that he posted.

Based on the stats near the thread title it looks like 5 "new" posts have been composed - none of them are visible. Hopefully they are sitting on the server somewhere and can be recovered.

That is a cool old thread and I could update it with a bunch of photos from some of the runs I have skied since 8 years ago.
