Good skiing today at Liberty. Everything open except White Lightening on the frontside and Lower Strata on backside. Crowds modest, partial sunshine, soft snow. They got 6" on the 14th with only a little sleet afterwards.
Upper Blue Streak late in the day
King of the Mtn
Soft bumps on Upper Strata
My son and I were there Saturday, and it was excellent
Hey, Jim. I thought I saw you at Liberty yesterday (green jacket , yes?). I was coaching the Liberty Mountain Race Team kids - and I may have inadvertently cut you off getting onto a chair with my charges. For that, I most humbly apologize. We'll ski together sometime this winter to make up for that.
T'was a nice day up there. The backside got really soupy come afternoon, but the frontside - e.g. Blue Streak - stayed very nice throughout the day.
songfta and camp, I may be up there again one day next weekend and/or later in Jan. I'll try to send you guys a PM a day or two in advance to see if we coincide for a few runs. My son is teaching at Liberty this winter and I sometimes tag along.

If it was a neon greenish Helly Hansen Jacket, that was probably me you saw up there Saturday. Sounds like we could have had a mini DC Ski meetup at Liberty yesterday.
Nice right up and pictures Jim. I pretty much agree with everything you said. The only thing I'd add is that it felt like Spring Skiing in December.
