Snow time resorts and great customer service are not two things we usually put together, but I have to say the staff at Liberty were very helpful to me recently and saved me some money as well.
In November, I renewed my advantage card since I find it saves me money over the length of the ski season. Recently, I found out about there Saturday adult development program and decided to sign up. When I went to sign up, I saw that you could add an advantage card to the program for an extra 20 bucks, basically $64 less than what I paid to renew my advantage card. So when I sent in my paperwork for adult development program, I asked if there was any way that I could get a refund for the difference of the in cost from what I paid to renew my advantage card and the $20 cost if I bought one as an add-on to the development program.
So today I got a call from Liberty guest services. What they said they could do is cancel the advantage card that I renewed and refund me the full amount, and then they would give me a new one at the add-on price of $20. Not only that, but since I had used my advantage card once this year, the new advantage card will be credited with one ski day on it since you get every 6th day free. I will need to pick up the new card at guest services when I go to Liberty (or Whitetail/Roundtop) next time, but that is a small inconvience to save $64.
It was nice to see that the people at Liberty took the time to figure out a way to get me the lower rate on the advantage card since I had already paid the full rate for it. I could have easily seen them coming back and saying sorry, there is nothing we can do since you already paid for the card. But they didn't, and now I'm a happy skier who has a good feeling about Liberty and will pass that on to others.
That is really nice to hear, thanks for sharing. Often we only hear about the bad experiences people have. Thumbs up to Liberty!
That is exactly my experience this year, except that I'm having two visits transfered to the new card!
