Looks like the $200 season pass may see its first action this weekend!  Thanks for being awesome Snowshoe.

Mine has 4 days at SS on it already + a Free swap day at HV.

Hope the rain stays in check and it's not a complete wash out.  I'm hoping it's open Fri as that appears to be the best day of this coming weekend.

That must be nice.  I'm currently living in Columbus, OH, and working in Annapolis MD.  I also have a wife at home that doesn't ski anymore.  Those three things keep me from spending every free moment on some ski hill.  My hope is to get around 10 days (split between 3 trips) in at Snowshoe, and then hit HV, 7S and Wisp on Random Sundays when I don't have other things to do.  I'm hoping that justifies the cost of the pass.

^^^^^ Hey Andy, I live in Columbus too, in German Village. I ditched the once a week pass to Snow Trails because it was too boring.  I didn't even bother with Mad River either. Instead I got a once a week pass to Perfect North for the extra vertical and steepness. I have made several solo day trips to Blue Knob when the snow was on (that place is amazing when there is snow). I would be willing to do the same to Wisp or 7 springs since I have yet to ski there. Shoot me a PM and maybe we can ride together sometime.

I will definately give you a yell sometime.  I live up in New Albany.  I haven't been to perfect North, but I am willing to check it out.  I still go to Mad River a few times a year when I get the itch, and don't have time to properly fill the void.  Whatever you do make sure not go to Clear Fork.  I has maybe 100 feet of verticle.  My wife bought me a groupon there and itt wasnt worth tthe paper it was printed on.

It was open today. "Variable conditions". I enjoyed it. Ran a few times in AM and later in day. Except for a couple spots had a solid base with a few inches of slushy stuff, particularly along edges. I heard some folks complaining about ice on faces, but I thought it was fine. I think folks have forgotten what midatlantic  ice is really like :).

We ran it Fri and Sat AM.  For Mid Dec it was pretty darn good.  Fri was very nice.  Today it warmed up fast and the sun was out.  Decided to head back home Sat afternoon since Sunday looks BAD ....
