Was sorry to hear Cluss is closing shop and selling the property.  It's a long ride to Oakland.

On the other hand, there's a new deli in Davis.

And it sounds like Trail Mix might re-open as something called "The Local General Store" ?

The store at Tline is open, saw the sign out the other day but did not stop.

The new Trail Mix, same as the old Trail Mix.  Well, not exactly.  The bin food (which arguably gave the place its old name) is gone.  I also didn't see evidence that they make sandwiches anymore.  But otherwise the lineup seemed pretty much the same, including the full liquor license.  Nice to have them back.  Hope they can make it, at least seasonally.

Still nothing in the Coyote's/Tucker's/Big Al's space.  I hear that can be had for a song.  Of course, its history is completely unblemished by success.

Tried the new and improved Deerfield restaurant last week.  Impressive to see them going head-on at Sirianni's with half the menu devoted to pizza.  And they deliver.  The appetizers are pretty tasty too.
