I know that the season isn't over yet for free-heel nation and for those of you flying out west, but for some of us the last turns of the season have been made. What are you doing to fill the void? Do you torture yourself with ski viddys on youtube and vimeo, or do you make a clean break? For day 2 of the post season I took advantage of the nice weather to ride my bike to work, and I have my first softball game of the season tonight.

Luckily, I'll be pretty busy in the off season.  My daughter and son in law are expecting their first child this summer.  Grandpa Blue Don here I come.

I'm also beginning to dabble in home brewing some beer.  I'm starting with a few simple Mr Beer kits and see where that takes me.

I have a late season Colorado quickie the 10-14 of April. I also hope to make a daytrip over to 7 Springs on Saturday. That combined should allow me to put the demons to rest until at least after the 4th of July. I actually hope I don't even lurk over here. It also helps that the World Cup is this summer. I watch EVERY SINGLE GAME every World Cup. That will take up a month. Once I start thinking about college football is when it gets rough. The stretch from Labor Day to my first day is always the worst.

I golf a lot in the Spring/Summer.  I also enjoy patio drinking and play sand volleyball.  Plus I love baseball, and going to baseball games.  That takes me through September, without me wanting to make some turns.  I have issues when the weather becomes too crappy to enjoy golf but it isn't cold enough for snow to fall.  It also makes me go crazy when I see Western resorts are opening, and I still have at least a month until I can ski on this side of the country.

I really want to make a trip to the place in Oregon that has snow fields that are open all summer sometime.  Beartooth Basin is only open from May to July.  That would be sweet to hit for a weekend also.
