The forecast is looking promising for a great final day at Wintergreen this Saturday if they can hang on to their snow.  Anybody else tempted to go?  I may be sending out some PMs to my DCSki buddies to see if anyone wants to carpool with me.  Tickets are $40 for full day, $30 for 4 hours.  Skiing from 9-5.  Perhaps the last day for many of us in the mid-Atlantic.  Might bring a grill for lunch time burgers, dogs and beverages.

Sounds like a lot of fun and I would love to get up there for a few final turns; unfortunately this Saturday is already packed with activities (baseball games, etc) and won't be able to make it. Hopefully there will be a good crowd up there to show support to Wintergreen for opening up this weekend.

From my vantage point in Charlottesville, it looks like the lower part of Outer Limits (the most exposed slope) has lost a lot of snow; however, Cliffhanger and Wild Turkey still look like they have good coverage. Should be a good day of spring skiing if they can get through today and tomorrow.

I googled directions from CV to Wintergreen, 3 hour drive so that's probably 6 hours from home. Tempting but..................

I'll cut you some slack.  Guess you'll just have to go to A-Basin instead for your spring skiing jones :-)

I think Rod and Charles (from Epic) are in.

*Added attraction, I believe on Apr 5 season pass holders from any other resort get 50% off at Wintergreen = $20 tickets??

Jimmy, if you ever make it out to Wintergreen we'll be sure to show you around. Maybe during next season's December snowmobile race at TL.

Sounds like a fun time!  If I was free, I'd ride up with Charles.  Have the best reason for being unavailable though . . . I'll be on a plane headed to SLC for my annual late season stay at Alta Lodge with friends.  Moved up my departure date a bit in order to catch fresh snow this weekend. :-)

Thanks for the info WGO.  A couple of runs each in Highlands and Big Acorn areas and a way to get between the two sounds good to me:-)   Sorry we're going to miss you for this, but I'll eat the burger that had your name on it :-)

It sounds like fun but it's also about a 6 hour drive for me so have fun and I'll ski with yinz next season.

Fantastic day, sunny with temp in low 40s, not overly crowded but fair # of folks, sloppy snow!  Temp at 4:30 is 42, below freezing this morning.  Ski the South & Virginia in April!  Suspect Chamber p Commerce will not go for that as a spring slogan!
