Does anyone remember when SS closed its Silver Creek area this past season?
I'd like to try an early March weekend trip to Snowshoe in 2014-15. It'd be great to have Silver Creek open for some late afternoon and evening skiing, plus as an alternative to the main basin and Western Territory when both crowds and legs get heavy.

A few years ago, it seemed like Silver Creek usually close a couple weeks before the rest of Snowshoe. Usually based on the closing date as projected soon after Pres. Day. Seems like SC has been open the first weekend of March even when the spring thaw came early. That's when the SkiSoutheast Summit was typically held at SS.
Silver Creek is usually through the college spring break weeks, or mid-March or a bit later, obviously weather dependent.

Blue Don, marzNC and The Colonel,
Thanks for the information about Silver Creek's closing dates. Now my friends and I can plan next year's skiing better.
Having the Ridiculous Pass allowed me to ski partial days and explore ways of skiing Snowshoe that I wouldn't have done before.
