Just a quick note that Timberline Resort is busy preparing for the summer season, with a newly constructed Zip line, horeseback riding, mountain bike trails and bike rentals, scenic chairlift rides, and hiking. The resort's Fireside Grill and Timbers Pub will be open for summer activities, with entertainment every weekend throughout the summer season. Plenty of lodging will be available throughout the resort area.
Recently, some rumors were going around about Timberline's operating status. My sources indicate that there were inaccuracies in those rumors, so I'd ask readers to not traffic in those rumors on DCSki.
"business as normal" you one funny man.

No, I verified that information recently posted by some readers here was simply not accurate. It is reckless to spread rumors without verifying their accuracy -- those kinds of inaccurate rumors can affect people and livelihoods. If someone runs across a rumor like that and would like me to investigate, feel free to send me a private e-mail and if there's any news to report I will.
Scott, since you appear to be in the know, do you know anything about on-mountain SKIING Improvements planned for next season?
Thanks! Glad to hear the rumour was false.

- Glade work?
- Speeding up the speed on the chairlifts?
- Snowmaking improvements?
Thanks! Glad to hear the rumour was false.
Haven't heard anything about capital improvements yet. Resorts typically begin announcing winter improvements mid-summer, so still a bit early.

Then put your proof in the original thread. Or better yet someone who is ITK at Tline can post it here.
No one will ever do more damgae to Tline via rumor than they have done to themselves in reality.
One thing I have learnt from internet and forums is to not blindly believe what people post as true. I'll find out 4 myself anyway.

I don't have anything to prove. DCSki isn't a courtroom, and it's also not a place to propagate potentially damaging rumors. As the Editor of the site, it's my responsibility to evaluate information from official and trusted sources and then determine whether a discussion is appropriate for DCSki. Those who have been around know that I largely take a "hands off" approach and rarely intervene in a conversation. In the rare cases I do, it's because a conversation is no longer civil or family-friendly, I have reason to believe that inaccurate information is being shared (or could encourage discussions that lead to wildly inaccurate rumors), and/or I'm protecting readers from potential accusations of libel and the legal headaches that could cause. Other than those troublesome areas, I generally encourage free-spirited discussion. People don't have to agree with me in every instance, but I'd ask that people respect the decisions I make.
The details I shared about summertime activities at the top of this post were based on an official news release distributed this week by Timberline Resort.
Your work to sustain this website, incl. the forum, is much appreciated, Scott. Thanks!

What he said.
...sounds like its time for a trip report or some kind of first hand account...maybe someone could swing over there mid next week, the first week of summer season, and check out the advertised summer preparations, amenities, and activities and then give a report...

One can take a peek at the webcam ...... http://www.resortcams.com/webcameras-timberline.php
Last weekend everything was going full throttle at t-line. There were even people using the mini zip when you could buy a whole day zip and chair pass for $30 if you like that kind of thing. I didn't venture into the pub but will later in the summer. Hope it keeps things going. Some of the reasons behind my earlier inquiry are still valid though. .
kwill i hear you didn't miss much in the pub last weekend unless you appreciate no service. The valley was PACKED with tourists last weekend and Tslime was a ghost town.
Great holiday weekend in Davis and Thomas with the Art Spring Festus. Awesome tunage at the Pfiddy and MSB.
Will be in the valley next week through the 6th. I'll venture out and about and try to see what is going on in preparation for next winter. Their web site is listing numerous "business as usual" activities. The riding stables are under different management this summer so I'm not sure what differences can be found with that. I understand that the mountain biking is being run by a different person from the past as well but that's normal. Don't know what repairs if any have been made to the flood damamged trails after last May's gully washer. I'll finsd out if the glading is continuing and what can be expected in infrastructure improvements. There's usually somebody who knows at least what is being discussed. Looking for a schedule of some type even if it's a tentative one for the 2014/15 winter. That always give a glimmer of hope now that the days are getting shorter and first tracks are less than six months away barring unforseen circumstances. Jimmy, give me a call if you get up around the 4th. We will have nightly campfires and cookouts which are open to anyone.
