They are putting a Waffle Cabin at the top of Ballhooter between Moutain Lodge and Allegheny Springs.

Now I can get first tracks and breakfast at the same time

hmmm, that is not a good spot.  it was over by the western path last year which was perfect.  nice place to sit with a coffe and a waffle after a morning on shays revenge, shielded by the spruces with a nice view.  harumfff.

meanwhile, happy memorial day everyone.

The relocation may have to do with this project that is under way.  http://www.corduroyinn.com/

I would guess a "Waffle Cabin" next to an upscale boutique hotel was not a good fit.

I was wondering what would happen to that place, but does not sound like i will be staying there!

funny that someone posted about the wind blowing away the change from that new spot, then deleted the post.  it was so true, and not a very scenic location for a warm waffle !!!

oh well, i did not get a season pass either, but that was before tline went backrupt and flooded ;)

Always positive to see investment in Mid-A resorts!  Now if only there is news about the management promised replacement of the High Speed Ballhooter quad with a HS Sixpack, and the movement of the HS quad to replace the Powder Monkey slow triple.  Maybe the purchase and major rennovation of this hotel at the top of Powder Monkey are related to the lift upgrade!?

Haven't heard much since the HOA meeting in Mar 2013 when F DeBerry made those comments.   No SS rep was present at our Mar 2014 HOA mtg.  It appears the Corrduroy Inn folks are Yinzers from up in my neck of the woods based on their 724 area code on their website.  I hope they do well.

Found this the other day, sounds like it is planned for powder monkey lift. Maybe this new hotel is the final push management needed to do the upgrade. Does not sound like the best idea for that spot though.

SS has been silent on this item.  I'm heading down for Blues, Brews and BBQ Festival in 2 weeks.  I'll poke around.  Maybe a few in the know will knock down too much truth serum and spill the beans.

I suspect this info is quite old when the plans were to place slopes across the lake!
